MGP supports displaced farmers

Masbate Gold Project (MGP) supported a group of displaced farmers in Aroroy and assisted them organized into an association-the Gintong Ani Farmers Association (GAFA).

MGP awarded the farmers with a one (1) hectare farm lot each and were skilled-trained in farming under a joint undertaking with LGU-Aroroy Municipal Agriculture Office.

MGP also purchased some of the association’s harvest for the vegetable needs of its employees. (Gintong Ilaw/Foresight July-Dec issue)
