2008 is IEC year for DENR

The year 2008 is Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) year for the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). This is the recent declaration of DENR Secretary Lito Atienza in order to give the people a broader and deeper knowledge of various threats facing the environment and how to mitigate the effects and impact of global climate change.

The IEC campaign/drive will start within the DENR through seminars and workshops for its personnel then to local government units (LGUs) down to the Barangay level nationwide.
