The Mines and Geosciences Bureau in Bicol (MGB-V) was
able to rally the support of 9 mining firms in Bicol to the
10-point agenda of President Gloria M. Arroyo.
The
9 mining firms confirmed their all out support in a
caucus-meeting spearheaded by MGB-V chief Reynulfo A. Juan on
September 13,2004 at the conference hall of the Bicol regional
office of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources
(DENR-V) in Rawis, Legazpi City. Director Juan invited the heads
of the mining firms since they have the best management strategy
and the commitments to support the 10-point agenda of PGMA.

and employment opportunities, refocus their funds for social
development management program in support of the education

mineroads and ports and fast track opening of new mining
projects.
It will be recalled that the 10-point agenda of the present
administration of PGMA are: balanced budget, education for all,
transport and digital infrastructure, electricity and water
supply for all barangays, opportunity to create 10 million jobs,
decongest Metro Manila, automated elections, terminating the NPA
and MILF hostilities, healing the wounds of EDSA,
